Burlingham
My aim is not only to design, but also to create a sanctuary of cosiness where clients can take pleasure from a gentle, soothing environment and feel a sense of well-being and warmth where they can enjoy the simple pleasures in life.
Mixing old with new is my signature style, I prefer tarnished metals over shiny new chrome, I don’t like everything to necessarily be too perfect, the odd chip or mark just adds to the story. I frequently trawl vintage stores for honest, well-built pieces which have a quality about them and essentially add character to a room. They can be updated if required with paint and antiquing wax and often don’t cost a fortune.
Enhancing original features, adding texture and harmonious shades of colour, plus warm lighting, gives soul to a home. Every room, no matter how small, should exude character and interest and I take pride in my attention to detail.
